Business Western Sydney’s annual Housing Now! Conference returns on Tuesday 30 September, bringing together leaders from government, business and the community to tackle the State’s most pressing housing challenges.

The conference will spotlight bold ideas and scope for bipartisan action to increase housing supply, affordability and livability across our cities and regions.

The Hon. Chris Minns MP, Premier of NSW, will deliver the Keynote Address. You’ll also hear from The Hon. Mark Speakman SC MP, Leader of the Opposition and The Hon. Rose Jackson MLC, Minister for Housing, with many more speakers to be confirmed in coming months.

Now in its third year, the Housing Now! Alliance is a consortium of business, trade unions, universities and advocacy groups. With the NSW Government having adopted many proposals from the Alliance’s policy manifesto, this year’s Conference will push the boundaries of debate again.

  2. Coordinating the delivery of supporting infrastructure for housing.
  3. Coordinating the delivery of the $5.1 billion social housing package.
  4. Resolving unreasonable agency blockages to speed up approvals in the planning system. 
  5. Using call-in powers so major housing projects can be assessed and determined taking into account the urgent housing crisis.
